The Community Support Program (CSP) brings together mental health consumers, family members, and behavioral health providers to help adults with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders have access to resources supporting recovery in the community.
The CSP Wheel symbolizes this shared mission, which centers on the eight CSP principles: hope, competence, respect, trust, understanding, wellness, choice, and spirituality. These principles are surrounded by components necessary for recovery: treatment and support, family and friends, peer support, meaningful work, income support, community mobility, community groups and organizations, protection and advocacy, psychiatric rehabilitation, leisure and recreation, education, housing, and health care.
MCES is an active supporter and active participant in the activities of the Montgomery County CSP.
